- Equecabtagene Autoleucel (Eque-Cel) is a study treatment that belongs to a type of immunotherapy known as chimeric antigen receptor T-cell (CAR-T) therapy. This type of therapy involves T-cells being taken from the patient and being modified to be able to recognize BCMA (a protein found on myeloma cells) more easily.
